Dr. Loren Wooten, Founder

Dr. Loren Wooten began in the Lord's ministry in 1938 as a pastor of a church in Springfield, Missouri.  

Brother Wooten served a large Pentecostal denomination for 52 years in several capacities:  District Youth President, Educational Director and Assistant District Superintendent as well as serving in the National Headquarters as National Evangelists' Field Representative. 

In 1989, Dr. Wooten believed God led him to not renew his credentials with the original organization and to plant another Fellowship that would be free to move in the directions led by the Holy Spirit.  He and a group of other ministers of "like precious faith" and vision, joined together and thus began the ...

Dr. Loren Wooten was the Founder and served as our President since the Fellowship's inception until retiring on January 1, 2002 at which time New Life Fellowship honored him as President Emeritus.

As his eyesight failed several years ago, Loren continued to listen to scriptures and messages on tape, grasping fresh insights, inspiring us with his continued, growing intimacy with The Lord and his enduring desire to "court" the presence of the Holy Spirit. 

Dr. Wooten built into this Fellowship a Spirit of Love for each other in the genuine sense of God's Word!  In every concern or issue Dr. Wooten taught that speaking the Truth must be with genuine love!  

During his 62 years of ministry, Dr. Wooten and his wife, Bernice, have pastored several thriving churches and have conducted "New Life" Evangelism Crusades across the United States. 

They have also held Evangelistic Missionary Crusades  in Peru, Bolivia, Samoa and the Philippines.  Continuing through the end of his earthly life, Dr. & Mrs. Wooten held such a strong, heartfelt desire for ministry, and our Sister Bernice continues to be an important influence and source of inspiration to the membership of New Life Christian Fellowship International. 

Thanks to Dr. Loren Wooten's faithfulness to his God given vision for building this Fellowship, the Executive Committee has certified over 260 ministers with Ordination, License to Preach or Christian Workers!
