HOW ARE CHURCHES GOVERNED IN
NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN
FELLOWSHIP?
This is usually one of the
first questions asked. And ... it is perhaps
one of the most essential.
New Life Christian
Fellowship does not want to control
churches. EVERY CHURCH IS SOVEREIGN! They
run their own church program and take care of
its affairs.
The autonomy and sovereignty
of churches affiliated with New Life Christian
Fellowship International shall be recognized
and guaranteed. This autonomy and sovereignty
shall specifically include such matters as:
-
Holding the title to their own
property
-
Ratification of their board of
Elders or Deacons
-
Calling their Pastor
Please Note: Assistance from
NLCFI in the matter of finding
and/or selecting a pastor will
gladly be given to any Charter
Church but only upon request from
the congregation of such church
chartered by NLCFI.
-
Arranging their own program of
evangelism
NLCFI is a
covering. We take care of your
relationship with the IRS. That is, we
give you, as a Chartered Church, the legal
privilege of giving tax receipts to all donors.
and contributors to the church.
Should there ever be a time
when help is needed, the leadership of NLCFI
stands ready to come to the aid of the church,
but only after they are called in. NLCFI
provides resources for assisting the ministers
in educating and training the church members to
do the work of the ministry as we are
instructed in Ephesians
4:11-15.
The leadership of our
Fellowship has been elected by the body not to
be "overlords" but to be the Lord's
"under-shepherds" to facilitate your ministry
endeavors and to provide prayerful, supportive
guardianship of the ministers and churches in
our membership who have voluntarily joined with
us for these purposes!
One of the greatest stresses
in ministry is that as so many people come to
the ministers with their burdens, concerns,
issues and troubles, from time to time the
minister him/herself needs someone to help them
share the load! The Fellowship Leaders
consider one of their utmost responsibilities
to be ministers to and for the
ministers!
Whether needing advice and
counsel, wanting to "test" some fresh ideas ...
or just an understanding ear to listen
and let one "ventilate", we are always as close
as the telephone!
We do not "intrude", but we
do take very seriously our ministry
responsibilities to each and every member
minister, so should you ever call for yourself
needing to be ministered to ... we are always
ready to answer your call!
